1. Provision of Life Insurance, Risk allowance and essential items like Shoes, Backbag, Measuring Tape, Sunhat, etc., to field staff engaged in Resurvey work [Cost Estimate Rs.22.00 Lakh]. 1. Distribution of essential items is in progress. 2. In respect of incentives, Rs.4,88,468/- out of Rs. 6,56,400/- has been disbursed to the concerned. Remaining amount Rs. 1,67,932/- was not drawn due to Lockdown effected, on Corona pandemic, and has been surrendered to Government. Hence, revalidation proposal for the same will be sent to the Government. It will be settled once the revalidation orders are issued. 3. In respect of Life Insurance, the sanctioned amount was surrendered to the Government due to non-finalization of vendor and it will be implemented after obtaining funds from the Government by sending necessary revalidation proposals.
2. Creation of facility for applying for patta from home through internet [Cost Estimate: NIL ]. TNEGA has developed a software in this regard and has requested the DOSS, to request the Government to obtain a suitable date from Hon’ble Minister Revenue and Disaster Management / Information Technology for integration of this facility. Accordingly letter has been sent to the Government vide Rc.K8/24230/2019 dt: 06.01.2020.
3. Hosting of website for Department of Survey and Settlement. Government have issued orders vide G.O.No.29, Dated 08.01.2020 and work order has been placed with ELCOT towards the procurement of physical servers at Perungudi and it is in progress.
4. E-service for providing scanned village maps to public at nominal cost[Cost Estimate: NIL]. G.O (Ms) No.450, SS-II (2) Dated: 21.11.2019 from Revenue and Disaster Management department has been issued and Awaited the development of department website creation process.
5. Updation of Chitta to the current date [Cost Estimate Rs.1.00 Crore]. The Government have issued orders vide G.O. (Ms).12, Revenue and Disaster Management department, [SS-II(2)] Section, dated: 06.01.2020. Since, sensitization has to take place only after launching of website, the Government have been requested to provide the sanctioned amount of Rs. 1 Crore in the Budget Estimate 2020-21, so that the amount could be distributed to the District Collectors in the next financial year.
6. Scanning and preservation of Field Measurement Books [Cost Estimate: Rs.25.00 Lakh (Amount available in DILRMP will be utilized)]. 2 Nos. of A4 Size scanners and 5 Nos. of 2 TB size External Hard disk were supplied. Purchase order placed with ELCOT towards procurement of 1 No. of A3 size book scanner. Order is awaited.
7. Provision of Computer/ Printers and Accessories to 50 Town Settlement Offices [Cost Estimate Rs.35.00 Lakh]. Orders placed with ELCOT for the supply of computers / printers accessories.
8. Disaster Recovery System will be created at the Tamil Nadu Disaster Recovery Centre (TNDRC), Tiruchirapalli for the online land records available in State Data Centre(SDC), Perungudi,Chennai [Cost Estimate Rs.52.37 Lakh]. G.O (Ms) No.37, SS-II (2) Dated: 20.01.2020 from Revenue and Disaster Management department has been issued. Action is being taken to pursue purchase order from ELCOT.
9. Authorization of sub-divisions prior to Registration. [Cost Estimate: NIL]. Orders have been issued vide G.O. Ms. No. 101 R&DM Dept dated 20.02.2020. Discussions have been held with NIC for the development of the software and further action.
10. Resurvey using modern survey equipment in 29 Towns [Cost Estimate Rs. 30.29 Crore]. The Government have issued orders in G.O. (Ms) No.01, SS-II (2) Dated: 03.01.2020, Revenue and Disaster Management Department to commence the resurvey in 29 towns with fund provision in the F/Y 2020-2021. Due to acute shortage of manpower, it has been planned to engage Licensed Surveyors in this scheme. After the completion of selection of Licensed Surveyor and the training process is over, they may be engaged in the resurvey work. And also the change of locations of 10 Towns of I phase of Town Survey have been proposed to the Government and orders are awaited.
